I suspect that the game with this widescreen fix might be more demanding on the PC and possibly on the game itself as the game is automatically ran at its highest settings, the widescreen files are set to this by default, but you can still change and lower the game's settings Edit June 27 : Disregard this post - I apologize for not being particularly helpful.
